My aviation engineering client is seeking an MRO Project Manager to join on them on a permanent basis in West London.The MRO Project Manager is responsible for managing workshop-based overhaul events, ensuring delivery to the customer on time, on budget, and according to customer specifications.
There will be close work with the Product Line team, Operations, Planning, Billing and Engineering to ensure complete contract fulfilment with superior results in customer satisfaction.Role: MRO Project Manager – Permanent Position
Location: West London
Pay: From £36,532 per annum
Hours: 38 Hours per week, Mon-Fri. Overtime may be required.** Candidates MUST hold right to work within the UK without any restrictions. No sponsorships can be offered now or in the future. **Job Profile

• Manage the progress of overhaul events and direct responsible parties to ensure that the event progress is in line with company and customer interest, on time and on budget.
• To maximize customer satisfaction and ensure complete customer contract fulfilment.
• Coordinate technical requirements with the Engineering team.
• Support and coordinate schedule changes with the Planning team.
• Provide feedback regarding the overhaul event status to the Account Manager (e.g. planned delivery, scrap material, cost) and Customer Support Specialist.
• Track and report the cost of each event compared to budget and define countermeasures if necessary.
• Participate in and/or arrange Event status meetings.
• Review margin sheets and report profitability of each overhaul event after completion.
• Oversee the overall profitability and follow-up on implementation with responsible parties.
• Manage post job event completion reviews and scoring systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience in the Aerospace MRO industry essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience working with technical records or airline CAMO / part management processes.
• Ambitious, highly organised, strong initiative, high conflict resolution abilities and analytical skills
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent ability to analyse figures and financial reviews.
• Have the ability to read and understand customer contracts / specification and put in place action plans for contract adherence.
• Good IT skills with the use of standard Microsoft packages.
• Proven experience of using MRP / ERP data systems (SAP / AMOS etc.)
• Representational abilities in terms of corporate/commercial awareness – face to face contact.
• Ability to work flexibly, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Outgoing personality.
• Basic understanding of different cultures.
• Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted
