The Position:
Individual Consultant Peacebuilding Programme Assistant, based in Mekelle, Tigray Region.
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist, Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS), and in close coordination with the Gender Based Violence (GBV) Programme Analyst in the Tigray region.

Job Purpose:
The Peacebuilding Programme Assistant will support in providing technical and programmatic inputs to the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of peace and security programming to ensure quality, multi-sectoral and well-coordinated peacebuilding response in the context of the Humanitarian, Development, and Peace nexus. This will include the mainstreaming of peacebuilding activities into UNFPA’s Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) programmes in the Tigray region. Travel may be required to other parts of the region for programme implementation and monitoring purposes.

Education:
A first university degree (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in social sciences, peace and conflict, public health, and other related fields with at least 3 years of relevant community work experience in humanitarian and post conflict settings.
