Telos is looking for a Journeyman Network Support Technician to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) – Increment 1 (INC1) program. The Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) –

Increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.

Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Brings critical network administration and configuration technical expertise to the Orchestration & Automation Teams (OATs) and the Site Implementation Teams (SITs).
• Ensures the operation and maintenance of the AGUN information technology and network infrastructure.
• Responsible for the survey, engineering, installation, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks.
• Contributes to the overall performance, security, and availability of the program’s Information Technology (IT) environment.
• Diagnoses and resolves network-related issues, installs network hardware, implements network configurations, and provides technical support to end-users.
• Configures, implements, and operates IT and network applications to manage and perform network management and orchestration functions in production, lab, staging, site installation, and test environments.
• Manages and assigns relevant Internet Protocol (IP) space in coordination with other systems across the Army Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN-A) Operations Center.
• Meets with the Army DODIN-A Operations Center regularly to report on the status of the orchestration implementation and overall network health.
• This role ensures the direct down trace configuration, troubleshooting and touch labor, providing input for local IT personnel assisting with network maintenance.
• Collaborates with assigned technical team to implement base configuration files for any changes that need to be made to new devices.
• Develops, maintains, and updates technical documentation such as enterprise architecture, Application/system design, and network architecture and design.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• US Citizen with a Secret security clearance.
• DoD 8570 certifications.
• IAT II, OS.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience or a Masters and 3+ years of related experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Prior experience with surveying, engineering, deploying, testing, and migrating network infrastructure in accordance with industry standards.
• Knowledge/experience of large-scale WAN, MPLS, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS), and internet technologies.
• Campus/enterprise networking experience.
• Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
• Able to frequently travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations 50% of time.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Visio.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working within Army’s IT infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience working within the Agile framework.
• Hands on experience with SD-WAN technologies (e.g. Cisco, VERSA, Juniper, etc.)
• Familiarity with API automation/orchestration tools/systems such as Ansible and Python Scripting.
• Familiarity working within structured CI/CD DevOps pipelines.
• Understanding of virtualization, hypervisor, HCI, cloud-native, and container technologies.
• Experience with Public/Gov/DoD Cloud environments and implementing virtualized network infrastructure.
• Hands on experience with Firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
• Familiarity/Experience with Remote Access VPN solutions, IPsec, TLS, PKI.
• Understanding of SASE/SSE Zero Trust principles/products (Cisco Secure Access, Prisma, zScaler, VERSA, AppGate, etc.).
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and tools to provide best-practice insight and best-in-class recommendations to management.
• Prior experience with USAISEC drafting requirements and drafting site implementation deliverables (floorplans, wiring diagrams, logical diagrams, etc).
