North Farm Consultancy Team Leader

Role Overview

Genus is seeking a dynamic and experienced Farm Consultancy Team Leader to oversee our North region consultancy team. This is a unique opportunity to combine leadership, mentoring, and hands-on consultancy work in a role that directly supports the success of farming businesses across the region.

You’ll be responsible for guiding a team of consultants, driving performance, and delivering top-tier advisory services to clients. If you’re passionate about agriculture, thrive in a collaborative environment, and have a knack for developing talent, we’d love to hear from you.

You Will

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations of the North consultancy team
• Provide line management, goal setting, and performance reviews for junior and mid-level consultants
• Mentor and coach team members through on-farm guidance and skills development
• Drive team performance to meet sales, delivery, and quality targets
• Collaborate with other Team Leaders and the Head of Farm Consultancy to align strategies and share best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience in agricultural consultancy or farm advisory services
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent planning, communication, and relationship-building abilities
• Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset
• Experience mentoring professionals in both technical and business development areas
• Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to process improvement
• A degree in agriculture is desirable but not essential
• Full driving licence required
