Reports to: Lead Consultant (Qualitative)
Period of work: 14 workdays
Locations: Kebbi, Niger, Kaduna, Benue, Ebonyi, Cross-River, and Delta state
Background
- The Moderator will take note and generate transcript for all audio records during the USAID Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Extension & Advisory Services Activity annual survey for FY24.
- The project works to increase smallholder farmers’ productivity, incomes, and household nutrition status in Kebbi, Niger, Kaduna, Benue, Ebonyi, Cross-River, and Delta states of Nigeria through strengthening sustainable agricultural extension and advisory services.
- The project particularly focuses on aquaculture, cowpea, maize, rice, and soybean value chains.
Essential Responsibilities
- Take notes and audio records of all interviews conducted.
- Generate interview transcript for all interviews administered.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, sociology/rural development, agriculture, economics statistics, sciences and survey techniques.
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on similar assignments

Excellent listening skills and ability to transcribe audio record to text script.

Fluency in local language/dialect and respect for ethics
