Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA’s Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton helps deliver the systems and services that keep our nation’s skies safe and connected.

We’re looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world’s most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission – you’ll define it.

Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. Peraton is seeking a skilled O365 Engineer to design, implement, and support Microsoft 365 (M365) services for programs aligned to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role is responsible for ensuring secure, resilient, and highly available collaboration platforms that support FAA operations, engineering teams, and leadership. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience administering O365 workloads in a regulated environment, with a strong understanding of identity, security, compliance, and tenant governance. You will work closely with cybersecurity, network, and IT operations teams to deliver enterprise-grade collaboration solutions that meet federal standards.

In this position, you will:

Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and supporting services.
  • Design and implement tenant configuration, governance, and lifecycle management for users, groups, and collaboration spaces.
  • Manage identity and access integrations using Azure AD (Entra ID), conditional access policies, and MFA.
  • Implement and maintain security and compliance controls including data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, eDiscovery, and information protection.
  • Monitor service health, performance, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve incidents and escalations.
  • Support migration efforts (email, file shares, SharePoint, Teams) from on-prem or legacy platforms to O365.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment with NIST, RMF, and FAA security requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration baselines.
  • Support change management, patching, and release updates for M365 features and services.
  • Provide Tier 3 support and guidance to IT operations and service desk teams.
  • Participate in audit readiness and compliance activities, ensuring documentation and configurations meet federal standards.

Why This Role Matters

FAA programs depend on reliable, secure collaboration tools to coordinate across geographically distributed teams and mission-critical operations. As an O365 Engineer, your expertise ensures that email, document management, messaging, and collaboration services are available, compliant, and protected. Your work directly supports productivity, continuity of operations, and secure information sharing-enabling the FAA to modernize while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.
