Salary: starting at $36,572 annually

A government organization in Fairmont is now seeking a Occupancy Specialist to join their team. This person will assist with a full range of program services ranging from enrollment, orientation, eligibility, recertification and inspections.

This position offers a four-day work week, Mon – Thurs 7:30am to 5:30pm with paid lunch. Fridays are off! Compensation starts at $15.66. This is a great opportunity for recent college graduates to gain experience in both an office environment and the social services field.

Duties Include, But Not Limited To:

• Complete Housing Quality Inspections
• Establish client eligibility
• Compute rent, and gross family contribution
• Execute lease approval process
• Complete interim and re-examination process
• Provide general case management of each assigned client from time of initial Application to end of participation
• Maintain client files
• Conduct new client orientation
• Other duties as requested

Qualified Applicants Will Possess:

• A valid West Virginia driver’s license
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office suite
• Must have ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English; solid understanding of basic math skills are also required
• Must have excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, business contacts, and residents/tenants
