Our Sacramento Regional Office is seeking a highly organized, team-oriented individual to serve as our receptionist. As an Office Assistant (G) you will have the opportunity to:

  • Greet visitors, determine the purpose of their visit, and direct them to the appropriate staff or conference room
  • Answer, screen, and redirect main line calls for the Sacramento Regional Office
  • Provide temporary access badges to staff and vendors and ensure they are returned in a timely manner by maintaining a list of temporary access badges that have not been returned
  • Maintain sign-in/out sheets and issuance of visitor badges for emergency purposes
  • Utilize DTSC’s e-mail system to reserve, confirm, and maintain master schedules for all conference rooms in the Sacramento Regional Office
  • Ensure that all checks (payroll, travel expenses, etc.) are logged, and fleet vehicle keys and other valuables are secure and locked up nightly in the safe

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts in a professional manner with integrity and respect
  • Ability to help facilitate expeditious resolution of problems from in-person requests, incoming phone calls and emails
  • Good organizational and time management skills and flexibility in response to changing workloads and priorities
  • Must be tactful and maintain a good rapport with other employees, peers, and supervisors
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Competent in computer programs such as Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to be a self-starter
  • Ability to stay objective/positive under pressure
  • Analytical skills including the ability to draw sound conclusions, and take effective action
