Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in developing and customizing applications using C#/ASP.NET/.NET stack, Telerik Kendo UI controls are to be used for enhanced UI. • Analyzing requirements and designing automation solutions to streamline workflows and improve productivity. • Explore options and offer possibilities to enhance and streamline the development using Azure DevOps capabilities and automated pipelines. • Collaborate with developers to create technical solutions that meet user needs while adhering to best practices and organizational policies. • Conduct testing and quality assurance for applications and automation workflows. • Document technical processes, user guides, and training materials for end-users. • Support troubleshooting efforts and provide user assistance to users for applications developed. • Stay informed about trends and advancements in IT automation and Microsoft technologies, offering recommendations for enhancements. • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/special skills
To qualify for the United Nations Secretariat internship programme applicants must, at the time of their submission, be enrolled in the final academic year of a first-level university degree programme programme (i.e. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree); be enrolled in a graduate school programme (i.e. Master’s degree or equivalent degree, or higher) or have completed an aforementioned academic degree, preferably in the area of Information-Database Management, Systems and Technology, and, if selected, must commence the internship on the date indicated in the Acceptance letter. APPLICANTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAMME. Information-Database management, Systems and technology, Azure, IT automation and Microsoft technologies would be useful.
