Key responsibilities include: – Develop and pilot a training package on due diligence in business and human rights in Portuguese, adapted to different audiences (private sector, national institutions, CSOs); – Create Terms of reference of the training package; – Design and prepare all the training materials covering key content areas like international and regional Business and Human Rights (BHR) standards; practical methodologies for conducting human rights impact assessments; development of mitigation strategies and establishment of effective grievance mechanisms; – Potentially conducting training sessions; – Analyze existing actions in companies related to due diligence in business and human rights in Mozambique; – Prepare a final report on the trainings delivered and make recommendations. 2. Tangible and measurable outputs of the work assignment: – Comprehensive HRDD Training Curriculum Document: A detailed curriculum outlining learning objectives, module breakdowns, key concepts, case studies, and assessment methods for the entire HRDD training package. – Modular Training Materials (Presentations & Handouts): A complete set of professional-quality training slides (e.g., PowerPoint) for each module, accompanied by comprehensive participant handouts/workbooks. These materials will incorporate visual aids, practical exercises, cases, and references to relevant Mozambican legislation and international standards. – Facilitator”s Guide for HRDD Training: A detailed guide for trainers, including session plans, timing for each activity, recommended facilitation techniques, discussion points, answers to exercises, and tips for addressing challenging questions related to BHR in the Mozambican context. – Pre- and Post-Training Assessment Tools: Develop standardized assessment tools to measure participants” knowledge acquisition and understanding of HRDD principles and methodologies before and after the training (two distinct sets of assessment tools- pre-training and post-training). – Pilot Training Session Report and Feedback Integration: A report detailing the methodology, observations, participant feedback, and key recommendations from a pilot training session conducted with a selected group of stakeholders. This report will also document how feedback has been incorporated into the final training package. – Resource Compendium for HRDD in Mozambique: A curated collection of relevant legal texts (national and international), policy documents, guidelines, and useful contacts pertinent to Business and Human Rights and HRDD in the Mozambican context. – Final Consultancy Report: A comprehensive report detailing the entire consultancy process, including methodology, challenges encountered, solutions implemented, key findings from the needs assessment (if applicable), recommendations for future capacity building, and an overview of all deliverables.
