The role will contribute to the group’s second line risk and compliance teams in developing a data led approach to the management of risk. Using a variety of data sets and relevant technologies the Analyst will lead the creation of tools and methodologies to help provide assurance of the internal control framework.This role is responsible for enhancing data quality within CBG’s risk management system to ensure integrity and accuracy of reporting.This role is also responsible for the automation of existing manual processes to establish consistency, improved efficiency and strengthen internal controls around operational risk reportingRESPONSIBILITIESOperational Risk Management

• Work closely with the central operation risk team and other subject matter experts to identify and capture data requirements and translate them into operational or application outputs.
• Support CBG’s RCSA process by producing business unit reporting suites to RCC and GRCC review and approval.
• Lead data gathering and elicitation using a range of analysis tools and techniques.
• Collaborate with the central operational risk team to identify manual process for automation where data gathering, manipulation and reporting could be enhanced to further strengthen the internal control environment
• Development of relevant tools and methodologies to provide assurance of identified controls.
• Perform analysis to identify, evaluate and understand themes in data sets and provide reports to senior management and GRCC reporting.
• Perform data retrieval, cleaning and validation processes using suitable tools to aid in the delivery of end user tools.
• Contribute to idea generation, from suggestion of improvements to established processes to creation of new utilities.
• Support additional Operational Risk management activities as deemed necessary from time to time.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

• Demonstrated experience in working with complex datasets.
• Proficiency in SQL (other languages welcomed).
• Experience working with data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, SAS)
• Attention to detail.
• Numerate and methodical with a proactive approach to solving problems.
• Able to manage own workload without direct supervision to ensure deadlines are met.
• Familiarity with key operational risk reporting topics

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:

• Relevant degree in Risk Management or Technology Systems
• Work experience in one or more domains of compliance, operational risk, data analysis
