The Operations Supervisor plays a key leadership role in supporting the seamless day-to-day execution of Food & Beverage (F&B) and Front Office operations. As a cross-functional position, this role is responsible for assisting department leaders in delivering exceptional guest service, meeting department goals, and ensuring smooth shift operations. Serving as the Person-in-Charge (PIC) during assigned shifts, the Operations Supervisor upholds Marriott brand standards and enforces company policies to create memorable guest experiences and foster a high-performing team environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as the PIC (Person in Charge) for assigned shifts, overseeing either front office or F&B operations.
- Ensure a smooth, efficient, and safe operation during all shifts.
- Proactively respond to and resolve guest concerns or issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Foster a culture of excellence in guest service delivery.
- Monitor staffing levels and assist with shift coverage to maintain service standards.
- Perform and oversee daily opening and closing duties for each department as assigned.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new associates as directed.
- Lead daily pre-shift huddles and communicate shift expectations and priorities.
- Uphold health and safety procedures across all areas of operation.
Hotel Specific:
- Ability to work with a dynamic schedule to align with the needs of business demands
- Compensation: $23.50 -24.50 per hour
Physical Demand :
- Grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 40 pounds and to operate various food and beverage equipment
- Work most of the shift standing and moving about in the restaurants and kitchen areas
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel operations, preferably in both Front Office and F&B.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
- Micros POS knowledge preferred
- Alcohol Beverage Servers Certification required
- Food Handlers Certification required
- OSHA certification or equivalent knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Basic mathematical skills to prepare financial reporting
