Description of Duties:

• Operate the following equipment in a safe an efficient manner: forklift (13,500 lbs. capacity), overhead cranes (5 ton and 10 ton), hand and banding tools, saws, pick-up trucks, shag trucks.
• Climb and or work at heights of up to 8’. Climbing, lifting, walking and bending for at least 40% of the shift will be required.
• Maintain housekeeping in the area, observing all safety rules to company standards.
• Understand department quality procedures and all documents pertaining to packing and shipping of irrigation products.
• Understands 85% of documents pertaining to packing and shipping of irrigation products
• Read order pick lists and recognize major parts by sight (tires, gearboxes, pipe, etc.).
• Work varying shifts as required
• Use calculator, computer, tape measure, and hand-held bar-code scanners.
• Packing orders in various zones to include bundling and/or crating of misc. parts
• Selection of parts, crates and pallets for loading, verifying accuracy of items collected.
• Trailer loading with the direction of the crew leader.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor or leads

Basic Qualifications:

• The ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, read, write, and count accurately
• The ability to work with wood and small hand tools such as tape measures, saws, and drills
• The ability to stand, stoop, push, pull, climb, lift and walk 40% of the scheduled shift
• The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift
• The ability to climb to or work up to 8 feet above the ground.
• A satisfactory safety record and awareness of others safety
• The ability to administer instructions to others on a limited basis
• The ability to work over ten hours a week in overtime when required for business needs
• A working knowledge of using e-mail

Additional Qualifications:

• Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, straddle trucks, shag trucks, or weigh counting scales.
• Material handling and inventory experience
• Experience with banding equipment
• An acceptable work and attendance history
• Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

SKILLS: 

Educational Background

• Must be able to read, write, and understand plainly written documents in English such as order pick lists, move tags, part orders, and rejected tags as well as communicate verbal/written instructions.
• Do simple math (add, subtract, divide and multiply both whole numbers and fractions).
• Possess legible penmanship.
• Use a calculator
• Use a computer
