Package Systems Engineer

• Provide technical support to internal and external customers regarding packaging automation
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, quality, design and production to deliver comprehensive solutions
• Analyze/troubleshoot customer’s efficiency issues related to GBP materials by identifying root causes and communicating effective solutions
• Recommend new packaging equipment or systems to meet customer needs
• Participate in audit teams to identify opportunities to minimize waste and improve efficiencies
• Establish and maintain relationships with packaging equipment manufacturers
• Stay abreast of emerging packaging technologies, industry trends and best practices
• Document customer visits and recommendations for future reference and continuous improvement
• Create and deliver presentations on packaging technology, providing insights into GBP-Packaging Systems and industry research

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 3-5 years experience in corrugated box manufacturing, packaging automation or related industry
• Strong technical knowledge of corrugated and folding carton packaging systems and materials
• Proficiency in troubleshooting packaging issues and implementing corrective actions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and provide innovate solutions
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with customers and internal teams
• Detail-orientated with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
