Packaging Associate-Nights

PURPOSE OF ROLE: 

Primarily responsible for assisting Packaging Operator on all packaging line activities, and any other duties assigned by Packaging Lead.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Work safely and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Ensure that you have a productive, safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
• Assist in performance of required clean down duties in between packaging assignments.
• Report any visual damages or deficiencies to Packaging Operator and/or Packaging Lead
• Use a forklift to move product from packaging line and/or into a bay location
• Accurately fill out any required paperwork for a production run
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner
• Identify damages and quality deficiencies
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Packaging Lead

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 

• Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment.
• Good math, language, and reading skills
• Knowledge of proper PPE requirements
• Considerate and respectful to coworkers
• Good math, language, and reading skills
• Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks

 

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

High School Diploma/GED 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• A variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day
• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
• Frequently lift to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Occasional climbing of ladders
• Use of basic warehouse equipment
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
