Schedule:5 AM to 3 PM; Monday – Friday
position Overview
The Inspector/Packer is responsible for inspecting and packing bags to safely deliver the highest quality products at the best efficiency and lowest scrap possible using effective manufacturing methods. Inspector/Packer personnel report to the Shift Leader.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Follow all Key Operating Procedures, including but not limited to:
o Company and facility Policies
o Safety – LTCT; use of proper PPE; adherence to all applicable safety rules
o Quality – PQCT, Bag Specifications, Testing Frequencies and Procedures
o SOPs – Methods for performing work
o SSOP/Good Housekeeping standards (keep machines and area sanitized and clean)
o Good Manufacturing Practices
o Food/Safety Security
o HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
- Food Regulatory and Customer Specifications
- Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality
- Responsible for ensuring that box and tote counts are accurate as per the bag specification
- Learn to pack all bag specifications and at all machines
- Assist and work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and technical resources to ensure that issues are being addressed to optimize the performance of the line.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements
- Communicate positively and respectfully to resolve all issues
- Complete all documentation accurately
- Other responsibilities and projects as assigned

Work Environment
Manufacturing Plant. Climate-controlled.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read measuring tapes and product specifications with mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Experience using pallet jacks and machine hoists is a plus.
- Basic computer skills (MicrosoftOffice applications).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
