We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Legal Team. This role will be based in the Belfast office but support the Irish Legal team based in Dublin. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two days a week in the office.

Paralegal – Belfast

This role is ideal for someone with previous experience within an administrative role including processing invoices, payments and settlements looking to move into am Paralegal role within a global leading business.

In this position, you’ll support the Irish team providing paralegal & administrative support, liaise with outside counsel on invoicing and payment queries, process settlement payments and a lot more.

We will rely on you to:

  • Support the Irish legal team by providing paralegal and administrative support.
  • Proactively work with the Irish pension administration team to manage the high volume of low-value Error and Ommision matters.
  • Handle general administrative duties such as managing internal logs, assisting with quarterly reports, supporting knowledge management, and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Process settlement and invoice payments related to matters across all European MMC entities.
  • Liaise with outside counsel on invoicing and payments, resolving related queries.
  • Assist the Finance team with monthly reconciliation of settlements and invoices.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience and knowledge of processing invoices and payments
  • 2-3 years administrative support experience
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence to advise and negotiate.
  • The ability to build, manage and develop relationships.
