Job Description
The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University seeks a Part-time Instructor to teach PSC 124, International Relations (3 credits), in person during Summer Session II 2025 (June 30– August 8). The course will meet in person Mondays through Thursdays from 10:00 am – 11:45 am.
PSC 124 is an introductory undergraduate course which explores foreign policy, decision making, comparative foreign policy, international transactions, and the international system. Credit is given for PSC 124 or PSC 139, but not both.
Qualifications
Minimum of ABD in Political Science with excellent teaching experience of Political Science courses at the undergraduate level. Strong class evaluations expected.
Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.
