Patient Care Representative in Newark, California

Description We are seeking a Patient Care Representative to join our team based in Newark, California. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team in the healthcare industry, where your primary responsibilities will include responding to high-volume incoming and outgoing calls, coordinating patient care, and maintaining accurate patient records. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing telephone calls and faxed referrals in a timely and efficient manner.

• Coordinate patient care by scheduling, editing, and maintaining routine patient physician appointments for new and returning patients.

• Act as a liaison between patients and physicians or clinics, facilitating communication and ensuring a smooth process for all parties involved.

• Deliver expert knowledge on clinic-specific processes to patients and team members.

• Accurately document calls and route them to the appropriate department for further assistance.

• Identify urgent customer needs or operational issues and escalate appropriately to the concerned team or department.

• Work closely with care teams, patients, and outside facilities to obtain necessary information required for patient care.

• Communicate effectively with the care team and support staff on various patient issues.

• Update and maintain accurate patient insurance information.

• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards to ensure the highest level of customer service.

• Utilize reference documents and online knowledgebase tools to provide accurate information regarding services.

• Use the functionality of the telephone system as required to optimize customer service. Requirements • Role requires no previous years of experience

• Proficiency in Call Center Customer Service is necessary

• Excellent Customer Service skills are essential

• Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls is required

• Experience with Answering Multi-Line Phone System is a must
