WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Performs delegated patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training, in a manner that is aligned with age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate and high-quality treatment of patients.
• Documentation of patient care.
• Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit.
• Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the unit.
• Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN.
• Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
• Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred High School Diploma/GED
• Nursing student after having completed 1st semester of clinicals Preferred
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Required or Prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization Required or After completion of Franciscan PCT In-training program Required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – Franciscan will provide BCLS training and recertification as needed.
