The Lions Children’s Eye Clinic is the leading clinic in the upper Midwest for children’s eye care. With four dedicated pediatric ophthalmologists, we help children as young as a few days old up through kids in their late teens improve their sight and eye function. Our patients benefit from the knowledge, compassion, and innovation that our care providers bring to their work in the clinic. Our all-inclusive approach ensures our present and future patients receive the best outcome possible.

What you will do as a Patient Representative:

  • Assists with phones and schedules future appointments and/or procedures.

  • Welcomes visitors, provides non-clinical information, collects co-pays, and enters/verifies health insurance information at check-in

  • Oversees the clinic lobby and patient waiting area and ensures it is clean, orderly and inviting

  • Arranges accommodation and/or interpreter services as need needed for the patient visits

  • Resolves non-clinical patient customer service issues

  • Assists with coordinating provider schedules and appointments

  • Maximize efficiencies of clinic schedules and to reduce patient waiting times and enhance customer experience

  • Requests/obtains/sends medical records and diagnostic test results from patient visits to other providers as requested

What you will need:

  • Successful completion of Patient Representative training program and OJT within 5 weeks of hire.

  • Knowledge of online scheduling and experience with EMR systems (pediatric clinical experience, preferred)

  • Keyboarding skills of 35 wpm.

  • Proven experience in customer service

Location:Lions Children’s Eye Clinic, 701 25th Ave. Minneapolis MN

Hours: 40 hours per week, 7:15 am – 3:45 pm

This position may be required to float to other departments at the discretion of the manager based on clinic needs.

Compensation:

20.18 – 27.53 USD Hourly
