JOB LOCATION:

Multiple Specialty – 3480 Wake Forest Rd

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking aPatient Service Associatein ourDuke Medical Office Buildinglocated inRaleigh, NCto be an integral member of the healthcare team to provide direct and indirect care to patients.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Batch out and reconcile cash bag daily
• Check-in patients upon arrival in the practice. Identify correct patient information in Maestro Care and verify demographic data for three clinics with an average 140 arrived visits per day.
• Present and educate patients on required forms and obtain signature as required by policy and procedure.
• Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts.
• Check out patients and schedule follow up appointments.
• Schedule appointments if referred by another physician in the center
• Explain billing to patients according to PRMO credit and collection policies
• Answer telephone and deliver messages according to practice communication standards.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education
• Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field.
• Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities.

JOB HOURS:

The schedule for this position is day shifts.
