About the role

As a People Administrator at Motorway, you will play a key operational role within the People team. This role facilitates the flow and protection of information so that all employees can work smoothly when it comes to people related matters. Responsibilities encompass a broad range of duties, including but not limited to, managing our People help-desk (general HR inquiries), onboarding administration (such as conducting DBS/Right to Work checks), employee data management (i.e creating reports and workflows), general HRIS utilisation, cross-functional liaison (i.e with payroll and IT), and supporting operationally people initiatives (i.e engagement survey and performance cycles). 

This role suits a people professional who has a systematic approach, highly organised, detail-oriented and relishes getting multiple tasks completed in a day. You will play a leading role in maintaining the communication between the people team and the wider business, helping resolve queries and in most cases, will be the first point of contact for administrative activities. 

  • HR administration: Maintaining employee records within HR systems (i.e BambooHR and CultureAmp), conducting DBS checks/right to work, processing new starters and leavers, tracking/operational support for visa sponsorships and general people related administration (i.e internal move processing, job information changes, probation pass etc).
  • Data management: Updating and maintaining HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with regulations. This will include employee data and tracking mandatory training such as Bullying & Sexual Harassment training and running audits to ensure completion.
  • Employee support: Responding to employee queries, providing information and guidance on Motorway’s HR policies and procedures.
  • Process & Policy improvement: Ability to recommend where there may be gaps or updating required to our policies and processes. Pro-active revision of guidance / processes for administrative duties will be required with a focus on automation and streamlining.
  • Payroll: Assisting with payroll alignment with our finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries and benefits (i.e leaves of absence, sick days, work schedules).
  • General administration: Supporting the people team with various tasks, such as preparing reports, setting up workflows and producing salary letters during performance cycles.

  • Continuous Learner: Eager and proactive to develop skills and knowledge within the HR field.
