Per Diem Perinatal Unit Technician – Westwood

Under direct supervision of the Perinatal nurse manager, provide the perinatal team with the surgical instruments and other equipment needed to render care to perinatal patients.Maintain a safe environment and work areas within the Perinatal unit.Major functions include processing instruments and equipment from soiled to sterile; cleaning and setting up labor and delivery rooms; housekeeping; patient and specimen transport; supply processing; completing work within shift time frames; training new team members; and collaborating with all team members.

• High School Diploma or proof of equivalence, required
• Previous work experience, required
• Previous hospital experience, preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience, preferred
• Fluent in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
• Ability to perform all physical requirements pertaining to the following:
• Maintenance of a clean patient environment
• Transport of patients
• Delivery of nutritional services to patients
• Maintenance of patient care supplies
