Location: BexleyPosition Type: PermanentStart Date: April 2025We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Bexley in April 2025. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work in a school that values both academic excellence and the holistic development of its students. You will play a key role in preparing children for their final year of primary school and the challenges of transitioning to secondary school.Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, creative lessons to Year 6 students, ensuring they meet their academic targets while maintaining a passion for learning.
  • Support students in their preparation for SATs, ensuring that they are well-prepared for both the academic and emotional aspects of their transition to secondary school.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages student independence, resilience, and curiosity.
  • Use a range of assessment tools to track student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Year 6 or Key Stage 2 students.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for education and the ability to inspire Year 6 students.
