Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to provide proactive and comprehensive support to Senior Legal Directors at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

Job description

As part of our Legal Service, you will provide administrative support to two Senior Legal Directors. This will involve managing their inboxes, travel arrangements and diaries, helping to manage and prioritise the Senior Directors’ time effectively.

Person specification

It is essential that you can provide evidence and examples for each of the following selection criteria in your application. For tips on how to make the most your application, please have a look at our guidance document.

  • Ability to use organisational systems and procedures for document management working in an administrative support capacity, with an understanding of the importance of and risks associated with the improper use, handling and disclosure of confidential information (lead criteria).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and other stakeholders (lead criteria). 
  • Ability to work collegiately and flexibly as part of a diverse team and where appropriate without close supervision and the ability to identify opportunities for improvements and offer seek solutions where appropriate.
  • Experience of working within tight timeframes, whilst delivering results to high standards including an ability to prioritise a busy work schedule and support others in the delivery of work.
  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel.
  • A strong demonstrable knowledge of raising Purchase Orders.
