Job Overview:

The pharmacy technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist. By performing the technical, clerical and manipulative tasks involved in dispensing, preparing, and distributing all medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups including geriatrics, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal. Work and/or performance shall conform to written established hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent

Preferred:

• Associates degree preferred
• 1 year of Pharmacy experience preferred,

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with NJ board of Pharmacy

• PTCB – Pharmacy Technician Certification Board- certification within 6 months of employment,
