Location: Montgomery, AL 36117

Shift Timing: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00

Role & Responsibilities:

• Draw blood from both inpatients and outpatients while ensuring proper patient identification.
• Accession and process all types of incoming specimens.
• Maintain strict adherence to protocols to avoid errors in patient identification.
• Ensure courteous, professional interaction with patients and staff.
• Participate in tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of Phlebotomy.

Required Skills:

• Involve duties of drawing bloods following policies for positive patient identification for inpatients and outpatients as well accession all incoming specimens. Manual dexterity, keen observational skills and sound judgment are required to correctly identify patients prior to venipuncture.
• Maintain congenial relationships with all staff.
• Participate in other areas as assigned by the Supervisor of Phlebotomy.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of recent experience as a phlebotomist (within the past year).
• Certification from an accredited body (preferred but not mandatory).
• Must speak, read, and write fluent English.
