Summary
Job Description:
Phlebotomist
Full Time, First Shift – 3a-11:30a – Rotating Weekends & Call
The Phlebotomist performs the collection of blood and body specimens from hospital inpatients and outpatients and transports patient specimens to the laboratory.
Job Duties:
Performs venipuncture and capillary collections and performs point of care testing.
Collects appropriate specimen for each test.
Follows all patient safety and specimen collection protocols without variance.
Properly transports collected specimens to the lab via tube system or hand carry and follows infection control protocols.
Consistently follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Requirements:
Completion of Phlebotomy training program or ASCP Certification
