Physical Education Instructor

position Summary:

Central/YUHSG seeks a High School Physical education Teacher to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits in a structured and supportive environment. This role helps students build confidence, develop skills, and understand the value of lifelong wellness.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging physical education classes aligned with curriculum goals
• Teach a range of fitness activities, sports, and health-related concepts
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility
• Ensure a safe, well-managed environment during all activities
• Assess student participation and progress
• Differentiate activities to support varying skill levels and abilities
• Communicate with students, families, and colleagues as needed
• Collaborate with faculty and participate in school initiatives

experience & Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience working with high school students preferred

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of physical fitness, sports, and health education
• Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities
• Effective classroom and group management skills
• Organized, reliable, and safety-conscious
• Positive, encouraging approach with students
