Planner – Production Control

This is a Production Control Planning Post Shakedown Availability Over Haul & Repair position in support of various programs including Virginia, and Delivered Ship availability’s. The successful candidate will be required to perform cross discipline Production Control functions which include, but are not limited to, Work Order management, software and hardware expediting in support of Work Order schedules, change processing, and work completion close-out, TGI/DL/DR’s, e-DL/DR in SPARS and QA-2 Tag Process. In order to perform these functions, the successful candidate will be required to interface with Operations, Engineering, Design, Material Systems, Configuration Management, Quality and other support organizations at various levels of management. Successful candidate will be expected to be aware of and in compliance with those attributes of Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Process Improvement as they apply to their position.

Required:

High School diploma or GED
• 5+ years’ experience in Planning/Production Control
• Prior shipyard or submarine experience
• Working knowledge of Electronic Desktop, SPARS, 7G & 3G, MRPII
• Working knowledge of QA-2 tagging system

Skills:

• Working knowledge of ARTEMIS, ERS, EDT, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point
• Good PC computer skills
• Good organizational skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills along with good interpersonal skills
• Good blueprint readings skills
