Plant & Equipment Manager

Responsibilities

* Prepares project-level investment plans for the designated area and analyzes the best procurement methods.
* Provides equipment lease vs. buy vs. rent analysis in the context of the project investment plans.
* Identifies mechanical/equipment support staffing needs for projects during the bidding phase.
* Supports project start-up and implements the jobsite P&E structure along with the Group’s processes, tools, and methods.
* Works with Procurement to vet and align key vendors to maintain the equipment fleet.
* Reviews monthly equipment tracking KPIs-repair cost tracking, service tracking, downtime, utilization-and advises project-level adjustments based on performance.
* Monitors, supports, and advises area equipment personnel to achieve individual and project goals and to apply standard company procedures.
* Tracks equipment time spans for area projects and forecasts/updates budgets based on this data.
* Coordinates equipment movements among area projects to optimize asset utilization.
* Collaborates with stakeholders to prepare or update procedures as needed.
* Uses software such as JDEdwards, HCSS E360, Teletrac Navman/Qtanium, Visionlink (CAT), JD Link (Deere), Komtrax (Komatsu), and Caretrack (Volvo).
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

education: Bachelor’s Degree
* 8 years of experience in equipment maintenance management
* Construction experience preferred; HCSS experience preferred
* Telematics Teletrac Navman/Qtanium, Visionlink (CAT), JD Link (Deere), Komtrax (Komatsu), Caretrack (Volvo) experience
