Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operator – Production Finish operates assigned semi-automatic or manual work cells that anneal, test, coat, assemble or package plumbing products. The Operator must ensure that all products made are to quality standards and report any issues encountered to the Sr. Operator or Team Lead. 

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Makes safety the number one priority by leading by example, addressing unsafe conditions & behaviors, and supporting safety improvement initiatives
• Supports continuous improvement by participating in events and submitting opportunities for improvements
• Performs routine set ups and simple changeovers; Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Operates machine at established production rates; troubleshoots common machine issues, escalating to Sr. Operator or Team Lead as necessary
• Monitors components in work area; communicates with material handlers on component shortages or performs material handling duties as needed
• Performs visual inspections of components and finished goods to ensure quality requirements are met
• Completes paperwork including production reports
• Cross trains and performs in other work centers as needed to meet customer demands
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to maintain safety and organization standards
• Ability to repetitively lift a minimum of 35 lbs. and perform repetitive motions with arms and hands
• Ability to stand while performing work for extended periods of time
• Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides

Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday – occasional Saturday overtime or extended shift

Hiring Range: $10.27 – $28.50
