  • Active participation in a Christian community and ability to engage in faith-based development.
  • Strong communication, training, and mentoring skills for local partners.
  • Ability to navigate and work effectively in multi-faith, multi-ethnic environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and strengthen relationships with MCC’s partner organizations in Iraq through regular visits and ongoing communication, ensuring alignment with MCC’s mission and objectives.
  • Support partners in developing project proposals by guiding them through the process of drafting concept notes, project plans, and securing necessary approvals.
  • Review and provide feedback on partners’ narrative and financial reports to ensure compliance with MCC’s standards and improve overall project performance.
  • Facilitate capacity-building initiatives by organizing and leading training workshops on PMER tools, techniques, and best practices for local partners.
  • Conduct internal evaluations of ongoing or completed projects to identify lessons learned and strengthen future project cycles, contributing to the refinement of MCC’s strategy.
  • Collaborate with MCC staff in Beirut and HQ to share lessons learned, best practices, and insights related to PMER, ensuring cross-regional alignment.
  • Represent MCC in sector meetings with UN agencies, INGOs, and NGOs to identify external grant opportunities, build strategic relationships, and contribute to resource mobilization.
  • Provide logistical support for MCC visitors by coordinating travel, accommodation, and meeting arrangements for staff, learning tours, and visitors from other MCC offices.
  • Monitor Iraq’s political and security landscape by keeping track of developments and sharing key information with MCC teams to ensure safety and effective decision-making.
  • Assist in advocacy and communication efforts, including identifying key advocacy priorities, drafting materials, and engaging with government authorities and stakeholders.
  • Support partnership strategy development, including researching potential new partners, evaluating alignment with MCC’s mission, and developing engagement plans and partnership agreements.
