The Store Supervisor supports the store management team with supervision of sales, customer service and shift operations including opening and closing the store, visual merchandising activities, inventory management and loss prevention.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Support the company expectation and achieve sales and profitability through driving product knowledge, exceptional customer service, and sales.
Maintain store visual objectives and housekeeping expectations.
Provide positive feedback and in the moment coaching with sales staff, encourage positive selling and customer service behaviors.
Consistent written and verbal communication with store management.
Reads and responds or reacts timely and clearly to all written and verbal communication, including from customers, corporate partners or other store locations.
Responsible for shift opening and closing store functions.
Creates and executes daily planner and communicates expectations with staff.
Responsible for shift inventory processing, receiving in, transferring out activities, order fulfillments and shipping.
Complies with all company policies and procedures and ensures store team is compliant.
Completes sales transactions with efficiency from end to end.
Escalate store issues in a timely manner; problem solve and actively recommend solutions or improvements.
Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
3 years retail sales or customer service including a minimum of 2 years store supervision
Must practice effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
SYSTEM QUALIFICATIONS
Microsoft office including excel, publisher and word
Retail inventory software and order processing systems
Understand the POS system and other software used by the stores
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Flexible schedule with nights, holidays and weekend shifts per scheduling guidelines.
Physical dexterity and stamina to reach and lift to complete visual presentations and/or store set up.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Reaching arms over head, ladder use, computer operation, continuous standing and walking, hand coordination, telephone use, speaking, reading, writing.
