Applications are being accepted for a post-doctoral associate with a Ph.D. in a biology-related field (Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Plant Biology, etc.) to conduct scholarly research on the mechanisms underlying bacterial community ecology in the plant rhizosphere. The successful applicant will have experience in microbiology, modeling, ecology, and metabolomics as they relate to plant-microbe interactions. The applicant should have demonstrated expertise in plant-microbe interactions or host-pathogen interactions through a strong publication record in these fields. The candidate will also be expected to be a full participant in the intellectual activities of the laboratory, including group meetings, preparation of grants and fellowship applications, manuscript review, journal clubs, and mentoring students in the laboratory.
