Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a motivated Post Doctoral Research Associate with programming experience at the Brain Connectivity Lab at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) for an NIH funded research study focusing on functional and structural connectivity, and the impact on clinical populations including AD and ASD. In particular, we propose to map functional connectivity in adolescent, young and older adults. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package at a pleasant workplace approximately 30 minutes from New York City.

Essential Functions:

Analyzing large data sets, writing manuscripts, helping in grant writing, and mentoring students.

Prerequisite Qualifications:

  • Completed PhD in biomedical engineering, medical physics, psychology, neuroscience or related fields.

  • Significant experience with data recording and analysis.

  • Programming experience in MATLAB, python and familiarity with existing MRI analysis packages is required.

  • Experience with DTI analysis.

  • At the university’s discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
