position Highlights	The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Arizona is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) Lab, under the direction of Dr. Bo Liu. The team is a collaborative partnership between nine Universities across the US led by the University of Arizona working in the area of reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, neuro-symbolic AI, and trustworthy intelligence. We invite qualified candidates to join our group and participate in cutting-edge research related to these topics. This is a year-to-year appointment, contingent upon funding and performance. Duties & Responsibilities	Conduct research in deep reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, trustworthy AI, explainable/safe SI, neuro-symbolic/neuro-symbolic AI, and intelligent autonomous driving. Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals. Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in AI-related research projects. Participate in grant writing and proposal development to support ongoing and future research initiatives. Additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge in scientific or engineering field related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Knowledge in control theory and applications.
Minimum Qualifications	PhD. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Applied Math, or a closely related field of study. Selected candidate must have PhD. conferred upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications	Effective writing experience for publication of articles in scientific research journals.
