Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced and skilled Powder Coater to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in powder coating processes, ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of metal products. This role involves preparing, coating, and inspecting metal components to meet production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating, including cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
• Operate powder coating equipment to apply powder coatings to metal parts and assemblies
• Monitor the curing process to ensure optimal coating performance and adherence
• Inspect coated products for uniformity, coverage, and defects, making necessary adjustments
• Maintain and clean powder coating equipment and booth to ensure proper operation and longevity
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production schedules and quality standards
• Record and report production data, including material usage and process parameters
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues with coating processes and equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and product quality

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a powder coater or in a similar coating role
• Familiarity with powder coating equipment, processes, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in powder coating
• Physical stamina and strength to handle coating equipment and materials
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in powder coating is a plus

Work Environment:

• Monday-Thursday 2nd shift ( 4:00 pm-2:30 am) Full-Time
• Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, heat, and other industrial conditions
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required
