Job description

Role – Power BI Developer
Duration – 06 Months Contract
Location – Sunbury, LondonThis role will comprise of several key accountabilities covering the run and change activities including building and delivering dashboards, providing advanced analytics solutions and managing business users within Finance / Commodity Risk area.

• Lead customer workshops to identify dashboard and report requirements
• Provide advanced analytics solutions in a creative manner
• Create data models, build dashboards,
• Data visualization and analysis
• Using Power BI pro features including security, administration, enterprise gateways
• Write calculations using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
• Maintain and enhance existing application reports, schedules, data refreshes
• Manage stakeholders and address business users concern on application platform
• Proactively drive testing at the appropriate technology level in the delivery cycle
• Provide technical knowledge to support other staff members within the organization
• Interact with internal team members and throughout the development and testing life-cycle
• Manage builds and migrations between various staging environments
• Monitor and maintain application security and integrity
• Manage code within central repository / source control system
• Monitor application performance and assist in performance tuning
• 3rd line support of production systems including analysis and troubleshooting of problems
• Assist with release or change management process
• Document and provide knowledge transition to backup team members
• Power BI Expertise
• Building complex SQL queries (must have)
• Understanding of Commodities finance (Oil, Gas / Power – must have)
• Tableau 10.1 and AWS / Azure Cloud experience (good to have)
• Angular 2 & SQL Server 2012 (good to have)
• APIs / PowerShell scripting with Source control system (TFS, GIT, VSTS)
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile (SCRUM) processes and tools
• Intellectual curiosity, creativity and passion for professional software development
• Effective and clear communicator
• Experience with large-scale enterprise wide IT environments containing multiple technologies, servers and logical environments
• Experience with enterprise project development lifecycle
• Application of best practices to ensure quality and accuracy of project deliverables
• High self-motivation and strong delivery focus
