* Base Pay Range: $104,083.20 – $169,665.60 annually, based on experience

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Demonstrates knowledge of unit workflows, policies, and procedures to manage daily operations, maintain standards, and support quality improvement. Applies leadership and interpersonal skills to supervise staff, foster collaboration, and drive accountability and service excellence. Uses foundational budgeting and compliance skills to manage resources, support survey readiness, and ensure regulatory adherence. Creates a high-performing team by interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, and leading staff. Provides daily oversight of clinic operations and ensures compliance with fiscal policies and procedures. Develops and manages efficient scheduling in collaboration with providers for both internal and outreach services.

Leads staff in delivering compassionate, high-quality service, resulting in improved patient experience. Develops, communicates, and monitors departmental goals and programs to ensure timely completion. Monitors departmental operations and objectives for alignment with service line and institutional priorities. Leads and supports the implementation of quality assurance programs and performance improvement initiatives. Acts as a liaison for cardiovascular service line initiatives, collaborating with internal and external departments. Oversees equipment purchases, maintenance, and department resource needs. Supervises financial and administrative operations, ensuring fiscal accountability and budget adherence. Audits and monitors revenue cycle activities, implements improvements for income-producing operations.

Develops and monitors productivity metrics and prepares reports as requested. Promotes cardiovascular clinical services internally and externally to support growth. Leads a culture of safety through proactive risk mitigation and continuous quality improvement, taking measures to routinely evaluate regulatory readiness. Monitors and analyzes safety and performance metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions for staff and/or patients as appropriate. Manage the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of coverage and continuity of care. Monitor and oversee time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely approval for payroll purposes. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a related area.

Five (5) years of related experience, two (2) of which are specific to cardiology.

One (1) year of supervisory experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a health or business-related field.

Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration.

Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Experience in medical practice or ambulatory care.

Experience with finance, budgeting, and process improvement.

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
