About the Role:

You will play a key role in the efficient operation of printing equipment and ensuring the quality of printed materials. You will be responsible for overseeing the printing process, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring that production runs smoothly. This role requires a strong attention to detail, technical expertise in printing equipment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor printing equipment, including digital printers and finishing machines, to produce high-quality printed materials according to job specifications.
  • Set up printing jobs, including loading paper and adjusting settings, to ensure accurate and efficient printing processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the printing process to verify accuracy, color consistency, and print quality, making adjustments as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments to resolve mechanical problems and minimize production disruptions.
  • Monitor production schedules and prioritize printing jobs to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including job logs, inventory records, and quality control reports.
  • Collaborate with team members, including graphic designers, production managers, and customer service representatives, to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Stay informed about new printing technologies, equipment upgrades, and industry best practices to continuously improve printing processes and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification in printing technology preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating printing equipment, preferably in a commercial printing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating digital printers, finishing equipment, and other printing-related machinery.
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control, with the ability to identify and resolve printing errors and inconsistencies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed to support production schedules.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times.

The pay rate for this position is $20.00/hr; however, base pay rate offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

Pay Rate: $20.00 – 24.00
