ROLE PROFILE:

Business Development

  • Primary focus on client account development, sales, and delivery of the full spectrum of ERM’s consulting services to deliver strategic value to our clients. In particular, play a key role in growing ERM’s Sustainability & Climate Change business across its broad portfolio of service offerings: Climate change strategies; Net zero consultancy/ Acceleration of decarbonization; Climate change adaptation; and ESG/ Sustainability Frameworks.
  • Actively develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities that result in significant revenue growth with target clients aligned with ERM’s global strategy.
  • Provide business value selling at the senior levels of client organizations, raising the profile of ERM’s capabilities within key client organizations, to identify and shape clients’ needs for ERM services.
  • Develop new client relationships and/ or expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service.

Project Acquisition and Management:

  • Act as a Project Manager for complex consultancy projects for corporate clients across a variety of sectors: energy, mining & metals, food & beverage/agribusiness, finance, etc. – focusing on such topics as ESG and climate/net zero strategies and target setting, sustainability/climate performance assessment and disclosures, low carbon economy transition and related risks and opportunities assessment, stakeholder engagement and capacity building, among others. Ensure quality and timely delivery of project outputs within the budget and smooth team coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance and inputs to the ongoing and potential projects and review deliverables for sustainability and climate advisory projects when not acting as a Project Manager. Prepare and deliver presentations, facilitate workshops and training sessions for the clients, including at the C-Suite level.
  • Contribute to leadership of major climate change & sustainability programs and projects for ERM’s clients in Indonesia and South East Asia (i.e. Malaysia, Vietnam).
  • Manage capture efforts utilizing technical understanding to develop proposals, including written content, pricing, and presentations.
  • Meet business financial targets, overall project budget and schedule, client satisfaction/ expectations, and internal and contract requirements.
  • Team Leadership and People Management
  • Responsible for development/mentoring a team of sustainability and climate consultants in Indonesia overseeing the team’s continuous improvement, development, training, engagement and retention.
  • Build, grow, and manage a high-performance team, serving as a leader and mentor to consultants. Identify emerging talent and work with them to reach their full potential; ensure rising stars are nurtured, developed and given new areas of responsibility.

Knowledge development:

  • Enable Indonesia team and Regional Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change Lead for Southeast Asia building capacities and sharing knowledge and lessons learnt within internal ERM consultancy team and externally: help prepare and co-lead workshops, webinars, learning sessions and training, prepare thought leadership materials, communication pieces, guidance and toolkits.
  • Drive innovation within the service area to stay ahead of client needs and to differentiate ERM in the market.
  • Work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment to build ERM’s global business, as well as to lead client and technical teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Postgraduate degree in environmental engineering, climate change or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in consulting with strong abilities to lead and convert opportunities with C-suite and key decision makers
  • Business acumen to understand business risk and challenges; and recognize corporate opportunities.
  • Demonstrable track record in delivering multi-million dollar sales results annually, including successfully winning large and strategic projects.
  • Offer recognized technical expertise and an established reputation in the local marketplace.
