We are seeking an accomplished and strategically minded Head of Crisis and Security Consulting for Latin America to lead our regional security consulting business across a diverse portfolio of markets. This leader will drive commercial growth, strengthen client relationships, oversee delivery excellence, and develop a high performing consulting team spanning Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.
Operating from our regional hub in Mexico City, the Head of Crisis and Security Consulting will shape the go to market strategy, expand the firm’s footprint, and ensure consistent, profitable, high quality work across the region, in line with the global Advisory and Risk Consulting strategy and objectives.
Tasks and responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Regional Growth
- Develop and execute a unified consulting strategy for Latin America aligned with regional and global priorities and local market dynamics, working closely with Control Risks Country Managers in key Latin American markets (e.g., Mexico, Brazil, Colombia).
- Lead revenue growth across Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, including expansion in priority sectors and strengthening existing client portfolios.
- Develop annual business plans, multi year growth targets, and regional investment priorities.
- Serve as the regional voice in regional leadership forums, ensuring Latin America’s opportunities, challenges, and innovations are represented.
Commercial Leadership & Client Development
- Build and manage senior level client relationships with major corporates, private clients and regional organizations.
- Drive pipeline creation and deal conversion, expanding the firm’s presence across key markets such as Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean; Brazil and the Southern Cone; Colombia and the broader Andean Region.
- Oversee large, strategic opportunities, including cross border programs and high value consulting engagements.
- Strengthen brand visibility through thought leadership, partnerships, events, and media engagement across Latin America.
Engagement Delivery & Quality Assurance
- Ensure consistent, high quality delivery across all client engagements, meeting or exceeding client expectations and internal quality standards for project management.
- Implement consistent delivery frameworks, methodologies, and governance that scale across diverse countries and regulatory environments, in keeping with Control Risks’ global Advisory and Risk Consulting teams.
- Serve as senior subject matter expert on major engagements (in a direct delivery capacity), leading internal teams through complex or high risk initiatives.
- Maintain strong delivery profit margins and engagement economics while safeguarding quality and client satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a geographically dispersed team of consultants, managers, and directors.
- Foster a culture of performance, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Champion diversity and inclusion across regional teams and leadership roles.
Operational & Financial Management
- Own the regional Consulting P&L as part of a broader Americas P&L, optimizing revenue growth, margins, cost structures, and investment decisions.
- Improve operational efficiency in staffing, utilization, contracting, compliance, and cross-border coordination.
- Ensure compliance with country-specific legal, financial, and HR requirements across the region.
- Strengthen operating rhythms, reporting standards, and business performance dashboards.
Requirements
Knowledge and experience
- 10+ years of consulting or professional services leadership experience, including P&L ownership.
- Spoken and written fluency in Spanish and English (Portuguese is a strong plus).
- Proven track record leading multi country operations or regional consulting teams.
- Demonstrated success driving commercial growth and winning large, complex deals.
- Deep expertise and experience in operational security consulting.
- Demonstrated experience working with clients on broader, strategic and programmatic consulting initiatives, including, but not limited to, crisis management and business continuity.
- Experience building and leading high performing teams across culturally diverse environments.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and margins.
- Ability to travel at least 50% across Latin America.
- Experience leading consulting work in multiple markets across Latin America preferred.
- Experience managing third parties and sub-contractors preferred.
- Prior experience in a global consulting, technology, or professional services firm preferred.
- Experience utilizing AI-driven technologies in the security space preferred.
- Existing senior level client network in the region preferred.
