Job Description

Seeking Principal Information Systems Technologist to provide services in support of PATRIOT Missile Support Contract (PMSC) Program related activities. The work location shall be in Burlington, MA at the Raytheon I&S facility. Duties require maintaining / improving existing applications within the PATRIOT Information Management Systems (PIMS) portfolio. The candidate must have demonstrated an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness and capable of applying highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to lead and mentor less experienced engineers.

Successful candidate’s expertise and services are, but not limited to the following:

• Provides business, product, or program level architecture, vision, strategy, problem anticipation and problem solving for the T&LS Growth and Innovation organization to meet existing and future business goals.
• Develops objectives, establishes organization technical policy and sets technological standards.
• Anticipates IT industry future directions and relates to future architecture needs and projects.
• Remains aware of business, technical, applications, information management and access, and infrastructure issues and acts as a consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions.
• Support end-users of the systems on a day-to-day basis and provide web application support for sustainment and reliability analysis solutions supporting the PMSC Program.

Required Skills:

You must have an active Secret clearance to be considered for this position.

• Experience developing creative solutions to complex business problems utilizing technical solutions.
• Leads the technical strategic vision, execution, maintenance, and quality assurance for all applications within portfolio.
• Guides and implements continuous improvement efforts including development/maintenance of application portfolio technology roadmaps
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Manage staffing and budget of application portfolio
• Partner with suppliers to execute and optimize technology portfolio for supported DoD contracts
• Technologies employed require expertise in
• Oracle RDBMS and its underlying PL/SQL language, and its implementation as basis for XML processing.
• Java and several Java Technology stacks including Java Server Faces, one or more J2EE application servers
• Knowledge of DFARS – NIST 800-53 cybersecurity framework as it pertains to internal and fielded solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required Education:

BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8 years of prior relevant experience.
