Job Title: Private Duty LPN – PRN, Flexible Schedule

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN for a PRN position with a flexible schedule in Knoxville. This role involves providing one-on-one care to patients in their homes, offering you the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient well-being while enjoying a work-life balance that fits your needs.

Schedule:

• PRN

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized nursing care in the home setting
• Administer medications, manage treatments, and monitor patient progress
• Support with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and patient mobility
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and communicate with families

Qualifications:

• LPN license in Tennessee
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience in home health or private duty preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice
• Provide patient and family teaching according to plan outlined by the RN
• Monitor patient’s vital signs and make specific measurements and observations
• Monitor and record intake and output. Report significant changes immediately
• Observe, assess and record patient’s physical and mental condition and reports any changes
• Administer medications as instructed and as ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN and document the patient’s file accordingly
• Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary patient case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education programs as assigned

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in good standing
• Previous private duty, home health, hospice, hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Active CPR certification
• Familiarity with electronic health records
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
