PRN Shift Paramedic in Ellendale, North Dakota

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our emergency medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transport to medical facilities. This role requires quick decision-making, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Duties

• Assess patients’ conditions and provide appropriate emergency medical care.
• Perform advanced life support procedures including airway management and venipuncture.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs to ensure patient stability.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in urgent care settings, including ER and critical care environments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided.
• Operate emergency medical equipment safely and effectively.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and other healthcare providers regarding treatment plans and patient status.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in emergency medicine.

Qualifications

• Valid Paramedic certification from an accredited program.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and emergency medicine protocols.
• Experience in urgent care or critical care settings is preferred.
• Proficient in basic life support techniques and advanced life support procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in high-stress situations.
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• NREMT-P Registered
