Description and Requirements
We are hiring an early-career Process Engineer to join our growing manufacturing team at the NCSC Whitsett site. This onsite role offers the opportunity to support production lines, solve manufacturing challenges, contribute to process improvements, and participate in equipment and automation projects. As the site expands its production capacity, you will gain broad experience working with production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and automation teams.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, including CPT or OPT.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day engineering support for manufacturing lines and production teams.
- Analyze production processes and identify opportunities to improve flow, efficiency, and performance.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for manufacturing and process issues.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Support engineering changes, new processes, and production-line improvements.
- Participate in equipment and automation projects from planning through implementation and handoff to production.
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, automation, and engineering teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0-3 years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, internship, co-op, laboratory, or project experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes, production support, or process improvement.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite at the NCSC Whitsett site 40 hours a week and support the assigned first- or second-shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or another technical drawing or layout tool.
- Coursework or experience involving process analysis, manufacturing data, or production operations.
- Exposure to equipment, automation, or manufacturing-process implementation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
