ABM Industries is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to oversee and optimize the procurement of goods and services essential to our operations. The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, administrate contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and negotiation skills, who can drive efficiencies across the supply chain and align procurement practices with organizational goals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Contract Administration 
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, amendments, modifications, and renewals with vendors. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms. 
  • Monitor contract compliance, enforce terms and conditions, and resolve disputes. 
  • Maintain a vendor database with accurate and up-to-date information. 
  • Procurement: 
  • Identify and source suppliers that meet the organization’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. 
  • Create and process purchase orders to initiate the procurement process. Ensure that purchase orders are accurate, complete, and authorized. 
  • Collaborate with operational teams to optimize processes and reduce costs. 
  • Develop and issue RFPs and bids to solicit proposals from suppliers. Evaluate bids and proposals to select the best option based on price, quality, and other criteria. 
  • Vendor Management: 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and performance expectations.
  • Assist in conducting regular vendor performance reviews to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Manage vendor onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition. 
  • Resolve vendor disputes and issues in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in supplier relationships. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or related operational background, preferably within a large-scale or multi-location organization. 
  • Skills: 
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and relevant legal requirements. 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
