ABM Industries is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to oversee and optimize the procurement of goods and services essential to our operations. The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, administrate contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and negotiation skills, who can drive efficiencies across the supply chain and align procurement practices with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Administration
- Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, amendments, modifications, and renewals with vendors. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Monitor contract compliance, enforce terms and conditions, and resolve disputes.
- Maintain a vendor database with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Procurement:
- Identify and source suppliers that meet the organization’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Create and process purchase orders to initiate the procurement process. Ensure that purchase orders are accurate, complete, and authorized.
- Collaborate with operational teams to optimize processes and reduce costs.
- Develop and issue RFPs and bids to solicit proposals from suppliers. Evaluate bids and proposals to select the best option based on price, quality, and other criteria.
- Vendor Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and performance expectations.
- Assist in conducting regular vendor performance reviews to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage vendor onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Resolve vendor disputes and issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in supplier relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or related operational background, preferably within a large-scale or multi-location organization.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and relevant legal requirements.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
