Description and requirementsSkanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is aninclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society.We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Building Services team at our Head Office at Leavesden, WatfordWorking as a Procurement Manager to develop the procurement strategy, procure and manage individual category agreements, sub-contract packages and/or supply agreements at project / category level, delivering best value solutions, and providing projects and/or Enabling Functions with a compliant, sustainable supply chain.Procurement Experience in FM Healthcare sector is essentialWhat you’ll do:
- Develop package / category procurement strategies to clearly demonstrate and seek approval from stakeholders on how a product / service will be procured.
- Undertake tendering activity applying a balanced approach to select suppliers based upon criteria which is relevant to the customers and Skanska’s objectives.
- Procure and manage portfolio of sub-contract packages / categories to optimise value to the business through strategic supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
- Develop and on-going management of internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels to identify and deliver timely procurement activity to the project procurement schedule / category plan to support profitable projects and the UK Business Plan.
- Draft recommendations / business cases, for approval and senior management endorsement of supply chain selection
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Good supply chain marketplace knowledge
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to drive the right decisions and outcomes in line with organisation priorities.
- Confident and professional approach to stakeholder engagement, with experience of holding stakeholders to account when necessary to uphold legislative compliance and adherence to procurement policy.
- Self-starter and able to work on own initiate to deliver to agreed timescales
